Duc has been in honor rolls for 10 consecutive years. He won the 2nd Prize in Quang Tri's Olympiad in Physics in 2018, and 2nd Prize in the Northern Delta in 2019, both in Physics.

Duc was born in a family with two other siblings. His parents work as farmers and small traders. In recent years, the unpredictable weathers results in lower yields which cause a real challenge in supporting the family. However, his parents are willing to work hard so that Duc and his sibling continue studying to have better opportunities.

Duc dreams to be a medical doctor in sports to help limit the sportspersons' serious injuries.
