Thinh in on honor rolls for 10 consecutive years.

His father operates a small herbal medicine shop with unstable income and his mother is a homemaker with respiratory condition. The unstable income creates economic challenges when there are expenses to pay for his and his brother's room and board (his brother is a 2nd year university student) and the medicine for his mother so his father has to ask for loans from the neighbors . Thinh used to think to drop out of school and find a labor job to help his father to reduce the financial burden. However, his father encouraged him to continue study for a better future.

Thinh has been studying really hard with hope to get the family out of poverty. He plan to use this money to buy books and school supplies for the term.
