Our mission

We make it easy for anyone to help students and teachers so they have the means to finish the coursework and/or improve the educational experience.

How we started

We started by a few ideas based on our experience and observation:

  • There are large price level differences between developed and developing countries. That is, the amount of goods and services that you can buy with US$10 dollars in the US is very different to what you can buy with US$10 dollars in rural Vietnam, Ghana, El Salvador, or Tanzania. For example, BIMA Tanzania offer hospital cover insurance for add-on children for as low as US$0.33 per month.

  • A little encouragement to the students in need go a really long way beyond the dollars received. It gives them hope and confidence and the lift needed to continue studying.

  • All of us are born philanthropists. We are willing to give back and willing to help others. We would be happy to contribute a small amount of money to lift others. However, the conditions have to be right: we need to know who are the recipients, we need to know if the money has the maximum impact, and we need to be informed. Support Young Scholars ambition is to build a giving experience you want to have.
