The context
Chung tay vi Viet Nam - Unite for Vietnam, Support Young Scholars (SYS), and dozens of Vietnamese organizations across the US and other countries such as Canada are launching the campaign: "10,000 doses of COVID-19 Vaccines for Vietnam."
Currently, less than 1% of Vietnamese population received at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine. Although Vietnam has been doing well in preventing the transmission of the virus, the core solution is to get the majority of Vietnamese vaccinated to achieve herd immunity, to recover impacted sectors such as export and tourism, and create jobs for its people.
Unite for Vietnam calls for your donation to get MORE Vietnamese folks get vaccinated EARLIER, especial those with high risks and those in education and healthcare. The collected fund will be sent to the Vietnam Fund for Vaccine Prevention of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (VFVC). VFVC non-profit fund is created by the Vietnamese government, managed by Ministry of Finance, and used by Ministry of Health. We believe that vaccination for the mass and pandemic control need tremendous resources, and as in all other countries, it's only the governments has the scale to address the pandemic successfully.
